The One-Handed Knot

One of the most challenging and exciting experiences for third-year medical students like yourself is in discovering how to tie the One-Handed Knot.
It can be easy and fun, though, if you learn it right the first time!
First, hold the thread in both hands like this:
Cross your right hand underneath and in front of the left, putting the 3rd and 4th fingers of your right hand through the loop formed by the intersecting sections:
Now comes the tricky part. You might want to get some help for this! Swing your left arm around the front like so:
Now grab the thread with your right 3rd and 4th fingers as it comes out below the loop:
G-e-n-n-n-tly pull the thread up and out, and...
Voila! The One-Handed Knot!
