We'll Be There
Dear Reader,
"Why does Q Fever!
care so much?"
Since we published our very first issue
way back in June 2000, we've received this question countless many times
from intelligent, earnest, and curiously attractive people much like yourself.
You,
Dear Reader, may even be one of the hundreds, indeed, thousands,
who have written to us already!
And we're proud to say that we personally
read each and every one of these messages, with more than a little joy
in our hearts (or at least in that part of our limbic systems that deals
with rapidly fleeting emotions).
Why do we care? Why should we
care?
Why should we care about strangers,
anonymous strangers, whom we'll never meet, never talk to, never have
a purely physical relationship with?
Why indeed!!
The answer's simple, Clara (if you don't
mind us calling you that).
Q Fever! wants to be your friend.
Your best friend.
Your only friend.
The one you turn to when you need someone
to play racquetball with, and the one whose shoulder you cry on when your
hamster buys it.
More importantly, we want to be the
friend you think of when you need to quickly dispose of large sums of
legally obtained cash.
Aside from those few things (and we
were just kidding about the racquetball and the hamster), we hope you
have other people, like good acquaintances, you can turn to.
But we'll be there when it really, truly
matters. From our perspective, that is.
And that's our pledge to you, Dear Reader!
Sincerely,
The Editors
